Amrit Punjabi - Let's Learn Punjabi
Amrit Punjabi is an educational application designed for both children and adults who want to learn the basics of Punjabi. The program focuses on teaching the Punjabi Alphabet (Panti Akhar, Panjabi, Panjabi Alphabet, Gurmukhi), as well as common Animals, Fruit, Vegetables, Colors, Shapes, and Numbers.
The application provides a simple and easy learning experience through the use of images, sounds, and text. The pictures are carefully created to help children relate to modern-day items, taking into consideration that traditional items like an inkpot may not be familiar to them. This is especially beneficial for Sikh and Punjabi kids, children, and adults who are interested in learning more about their heritage and culture.
Amrit Punjabi offers six sets of learning tools, including the Punjabi Alphabet. Users can customize their experience by selecting from four sets of voices, enabling a slideshow option, and continuous looping. Each learning tool set displays the word in Punjabi, the word in English, and a phonetic equivalent in English. The user interface is primarily in English, making it accessible to a wider audience.
